This verse is in the account of the death and resurrection of Lazarus. Jesus weeps with Lazarus' loved ones as they are grieving over the death of Lazarus. What a comfort it is to know that when we weep, Jesus weeps. When our hearts are breaking, Jesus' heart is breaking. When we smile, Jesus smiles. When we are joyous, Jesus is joyous.

Oh Melanie,
It was just raining here cats and dogs the other day and my son said it reminded him of this verse.
What a comfort we have to know that there is nothing that we are going through that He cannot have known or felt deeply over.
LOVE THAT GUY!! Thanks for sharing with us on WFW. Blessings to you today :)
Oh I love this picture! And what a strong yet simple verse. It is so true, that Jesus suffers with us. It is amazing to know that we are never alone. Blessings to you this day!
What a comfort to know that He understands and He grieves with us. We are never alone, even in our grief. Blessings to you!
Great picture - depicts exactly what the verse is saying. How reassuring to know that God will never leave us nor forsake us - He is with us thru it all and He grieves and feels deeply. Thanks for sharing - Laurie
Amen, Melanie. Amen. It's a comfort to know that our Comforter went through a gammut of emotions here on earth and goes with us through them even though He's no longer here with us physically.
What a great WFW and thank you so much for your kind words. I apologize for the delay in responding...been playing catchup and recovery around here.
Praying all is going well with you and God Bless you for your faith and words!
Melanie,
I love that!
One of the things a dear friend and I say to each other is this, "Do you smell that? It smells like rain!"
Have you ever read the email about the little girl who was held in the arms of Jesus during a near death experience and later would say to her Mom right before a storm - that very question? Powerful stuff!
We serve such an AWESOME GOD!
Love,
Jill
Blessings Melanie...every drop
...another tear, how precious is the compassion of Our Lord that
you captured so well...Beautiful
graphic with the shortest but most meaningful verse in the Bible!
Jesus wept! Indeed this is a great comfort whenever we grieve or are
overwhelmed with sadness to know how HE cares! His heart is broken!
He feels our every emotion and knows us so well! I'm touched and moved by your reminder from John,
Of course, these words would come from John, because he was with Our Lord til the end & the new beginning! You have filled my day
with God's Word! I had heard that
before that every time it rains, God is weeping and now I believe.
Thanks Melanie! Enjoy your WFW!
What a GREAT scripture to use with that picture! It's just PERFECT! It's SO COMFORTING to KNOW that our LORD feels what we feel. I also love to think that HE even "collects our tears."
Psalm 56:8 (New Living Translation)
8 You keep track of all my sorrows.[a]
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
Yes, we serve a MIGHTY GOD! =-)
Now, as for Zach's hand.. he's really taking advantage of being without his good arm. Hehe.. I guess for a little while I'll let him get away with it. O:-)
wow, very moving.
Blessings to you today.
This is a great photo to go along with this verse. It is comforting to know Jesus experienced feelings like we have each day.
Oh Melanie!
This is so wonderful! Hard to imagine why we'd ever take our eyes off of Him and on to the things of this world, huh? To have such a magnificent Savior, weeping over us...and rejoicing when we seek Him!AHHH the joy of being with Christ! There's nothing better!
Bless you sister,
Sunny
