This week I am thankful for fewer activities and more quality family time. Somehow we have been fortunate enough this week to not have anything in our schedule except the "normal stuff" -- school, work, church activities. It has been so wonderful because it has given us more time together as a family and it was some time that was so needed. There is almost nothing more relaxing to me than good, quality family time where we just sit and talk (in the case of hubby and I) or color together or read a good book (yep -- that would be the stuff with the kiddos!). The weather here has been wonderful so we've been able to spend some of this extra time outdoors. Monday night we were able to sit down and enjoy dinner on our patio. We ate and visited and just hung out together. It was so nice!
Dear Lord, thank you for family time that doesn't have to be rushed or spent in a car running to the next event!

Have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
Great list. Have a blessed day and thank you for visiting.
These are wonderful things to be thankful for. Today it seems we are so busy that we don't have time for the things that mean the most to us. Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Mary
I am thankful for the same thing, we have had a nice slow week with no extra activities and it has been absolutely wonderful. Our weekend is more of the same, I can't wait!
A nice family dinner around the picnic table on the patio sounds very inviting right now.
Too bad it's supposed to be a blizzard here tonight! Crazy, huh?
I am also always thankful when I can sit back and enjoy my family. Great post.
I love the way you put that its so true.

It sounds like a wonderful week to me as well! I love those kind of weeks. Sometimes it feels nice to just stop and all be together doing something or nothing!
I so agree with. there is nothing more relaxing than spending time with the family. I always always love time just spent at home with them.

Melanie,
That is my kind of week! I long for weeks like that but I am lucky to get one a year. It was fun reading about your week though. And thank you for your prayers and encouragement on my blog. Have a wonderful weekend!
