Hi! My name is Melanie and welcome to my bloggy home, "The Fruits of the Spirit"! I am thrilled that you stopped by as you are paryting with the "Ultimate Blog Party 2009" being hosted by "5 Minutes for Mom".
I am a wife, mommy, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I have a great hubby and two terrific kiddos along with an extended family that is the best. And, after that description, if you think I might be just a wee bit prejudice then you would be ablsolutely correct. :)
I've been married to my sweet hubby for almost 13 years and we have two children. Our lives are filled with many activities with/for our kids, church activities, friends and our jobs. I enjoy reading, some crafts, a good meal with friends, just hanging with my kids, quiet time together with my hubby, and "just being at home". I work full-time outside our home, he owns his own business, and together we have started a new business, Beads-N-Style.
"The Fruits of the Spirit" is where I share my experiences as I seek to grow stronger in my relationship with the Lord. Each week I post from the book of the Bible I am currently studying -- right now I am almost complete with my study of the book of Ruth. Also, I usually join in on a meme or two during the week -- Word-Filled Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, and At the Well. Other posts include my 'Friday Facts' posts that contain facts about the Bible and/or people and places in the Bible, and then posts on random topics that come from my own daily life experiences.
Last month I celebrated my first blogoversary. When I joined last year's "Ultimate Blog Party" I think I had only been blogging for about 3 weeks. WOW -- have I learned alot about this bloggy world since that time! And, what a great experience it has been. It's been such a privilege to get to know so many women thru this medium and be able to share a very small part of their lives -- to be able to encourage, support and pray for each one.
