Rest and Relaxation
Rest and Relaxation.
This is what I am thankful for this week.
Life gets so busy. Even though the many things to do are still there, I have had extra time in the evenings and the last couple of weekends to get a little extra rest, enjoy some quiet time, and just enjoy the moment.
Time to enjoy a good book.
Time to sleep a little later on a Saturday morning.
Time to sit quietly with my husband and simply enjoy being together.
Time to color with my daughter.
Time to sit with my son as he describes his latest "invention" that he has imagined and drawn.
I always make sure there is time to be with my husband and hang out with the kids, but it just seems that it has been easier lately. Not so many other things fighting for the time, not as many tasks waiting to be completed after the kids have gone to bed... simply more time to rest and relax and enjoy.
Thank you, Lord!! Just what this wife and mommy needed!

God is so good.
Rest was ordained by God, and it is His gift. How wonderful for you to enjoy that.
As for me, I'm thankful for you.
I, too, am thankful for those extra little moments of rest and relaxation. I take Friday nights and Saturday mornings as my time to rest from my regular household cleaning chores (laundry, dusting, etc.) I enjoy that break each week. But I also enjoy the other moments that pop up at other times when I can just prop my feet up and relax for a bit - even if only for 15 minutes. :)
ahhhh...sounds perfect and made me feel relaxed as well :)
Blessings.
Your right, these are wonderful things to be thankful for. Have a great week. Blessings, Debbie

Oh Melanie,
Just delightful. I wish I had been there to color with you and your daughter.
I always feel loved when I visit you.
Hugging you, Lynn
Melanie, so glad that you've found some margin for rest, relaxation and some simple pleasures with your family.
I so agree with you - I mean the quiet time. I enjoy just hanging out with my hubby. Since I have eliminate a lot of extra activities, I have found more time to spend reading, writing and just relax.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart.
Love & peace,
Iris
I agree dear sister. Thinking of you and sending prayers of love, comfort, peace, relaxation and blessings to you and your family.
