Trying to Get Back to Our Normal Routine

|
Is it just me or is everyone having a hard time getting back in their normal routines after the holidays? I tell you what, I just can't quite get it all together again... at least not yet.

After two weeks of vacation from work and wonderful family time and relaxation time and Christmas and New Year celebration time, I'm finding that my mind just isn't quite ready to jump back into the routine. I felt sure I would be ready to go and have a new post on the book Ruth up today. Somehow, though, I managed to lose complete track of time over the weekend and that post just did not get written.

As I've sat and thought about where I am right now, I'm going to give myself another few days to "get my act together". All is good... I just need to convince myself that I'm no longer in vacation mode. :)

So, I'll be a bit scarce this week again (although I'm sure I'll jump in for Thankful Thursday later this week... I always hate to miss my thankful post.. it makes such a difference in my entire outlook for the week.. puts me on my toes to always be noticing the blessings in life!) and then be back next Monday to pick up on Ruth where I left off prior to Christmas. Following that I'll hopefully be back into my routine and get things a little more back to normal on this blog. :)

Until then......

I'm taking my time too. I had big plans yesterday to have a pot of beans and rice for supper tonight. That big ham bone from New Years was going to do the trick. I got to church around 9 am and I had forgot to get it on the stove. So guess what we are having tomorrow night for supper?

Maybe tomorrow I will have my act together.

Blessings

It is hard to get back into the routine. Although, I am finding myself longing for normalcy, if that's possible. I will be looking forward to more of what God is showing you in Ruth. Thank you so much for your prayers on our behalf. I'm sending you a big hug from my side of Texas.

I had ONE week off...I really dreaded going back to work! I'm still feeling a little bit disorganized, tired (I miss my afternoon nap), and not quite willing to jump back into a busy schedule! :o)

Enjoy a lovely week!

Hope you are able to get back into the grove soon. I know it's not a good feeling to be out of routine and out of the grove.

I can completely relate...I just didn't want to get going this morning and still don't. I have been very slack over the past couple of weeks in my postings with my mom breaking her hip in all...got off track and struggling to get back on. Seems like we might all get back on board about the same time.

Until them...have fun finding your way back...if you see me along the way...pull me on with you.

((hugs))

It is hard to get back in the swing of things! I love routine so it really throws me for a loop when I do have that extra time off between Christmas and New Year's. I was sick part of the time and that wasn't fun. I'm still not back to my old self, although I'm at least 90% better. I hope you enjoy the rest of your break and ease back into the routine comfortably...Love ya!

I completely understand! Sometimes getting back into a routine is just hard! I am glad though to be back to my "normal" routine and schedule, although I am not doing my normal "house" duties as I should be... but I have cleaned out some closets so that must count for getting something done!

Blessings!

My week vacation turned to two weeks vacation and now i'm begging hubby to let me stay home in my pj's everyday. (not working...to many bills....)

Just wanted to say hi. I took a loooonng break from blogging and think I've missed it. But would rather blog from home in my pj's than from the office....hehe I really have this thing about my comfy pj's :)

It is always hard, every year, to get back into a normal routine. Back to work on Monday (it snowed again so started late) and Tuesday was a full day of work. I went home last night so exhausted I could hardly stay awake through dinner!!!!! I wonder - how long until I feel normal again? Probably about the beginning of March when I'm longing for Memorial Day weekend so I can have a day off... :)
