I really like the quote from William Penn -- something to ponder over - perfect Scripture passage to go with it.
I love the silence in the morning - helps me focus on the day...

Thanks for this post today. The tears started as soon as I read it. I'm thinking my mind might need a bit of a rest, but after I finish 2 more papers. I'm thankful for the few minutes each day that I can come into His presence and be still and know that He is God.

Awesome quotes on silence. I love practicing being silent (and still) before the Lord. I say practice because I am a work in progress, LOL!

Hey Melanie!

Yes, I LOVED the little cartoon. I thought it was A HOOT! (Funny that I posted a cartoon on dieting on the very day that I've started ANOTHER ONE! UGH - I've gained SO MUCH weight since we lost Brent)

Now, about your quote on silence.. it's GREAT! I actually had to ask a friend recently to share some scriptures with me on "guarding my tongue." LOL!! It seemed that no matter how hard I tried not to, I kept sticking my foot in my mouth! Now I can ponder on your post as well. :-)

Melanie,

Love the quote. I was thinking tonight about doing something for WFW re: Be Still, but felt the need to go elsewhere.

Happy Wednesday.

I came across a comment you made on Tonya's blog and decided to visit you...I'm very glad I did!

The quote and scripture you wrote are good reminders for me to take time to stop, reflect, pray, and listen to what God is saying to me.

Come by to visit me sometime! :o)

Blessings...
