Word-Filled Wednesday - Isaiah 40:31

|

"Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:31 NIV

For my first time participating in "Word Filled Wednesday" I have chosen a picture and scripture that is often seen. Because it is a visual that many are familiar with, I almost chose something different. However, it is one of my very favorites and gives such a glorious picture of what our lives can be like if we follow our Lord.

The world will tell us that our lives are restricted and limited if we follow the Lord. However, this scripture tells us the TRUTH -- which is the exact opposite. If we will follow the Lord he will give us strength. A strength that is freeing and allows us to soar!

Welcome to Word Filled Wednesday. That verse you chose is very special for me. Recently my husband changed positions at work and it was an extremely stressful time. I spoke that verse often, in prayer for my husband and to keep myself encouraged with God's strength. We came through fine - as always - God is faithful! Thanks for sharing

I love the Word-filled Wednesday, I usually do a Wordless Wednesday entry on my blog, but I may be changing that now after seeing yours. I just love the Word of God, isn't it awesome!

Beautiful photo and verse! In their room, my boys have a framed drawing of an eagle with that verse written on it, a gift from my parents when my older son was baptized last year. Thanks for visiting my WFW.
